RE: Fund Raising Proposal For Windansea Community Clubhouse Planning Court Appeal Defense and Building Fund.
On behalf of the Community Clubhouse Committee, the Windansea boardriders respectfully request your financial support to assist them to mount a substantial fund to fight the planning and environment appeal 3720/19 lodged on the 15th October 2019 . The appeal is opposing council’s decision to grant Windansea Boardriders approval to build a Community Clubhouse on lot 708 CG 386 Buderim street.
Windansea has resolved to kick start the funding appeal process with a financial commitment of $5000. The funds will be used to pay for expert witnesses and a barrister needed to ensure Windansea carries out it’s Due Diligence according to the rules and directions given by the court of appeal. The Sunshine Coast Regional Council has assembled their own team of excellent expert witnesses.
For Windansea to mount their own legal challenge they need your generous financial donation to do so. If any funds are not utilised for the challenge they will be directed to the clubhouse construction fund. Windansea wishes to thank you in anticipation of whatever support you can muster.

The proposed clubhouse will be a shared community space, run by a committee of surfers representing diverse groups to provide a meeting place for the greater community. The groups currently include Winadansea Boardriders, the Disabled Surfers Association, the Indigenous Surfers Chapter, Women on Water, The Moffateers and the Caloundra Malibu Club.
A dedicated clubhouse will greatly expand the opportunities to advance the sport of surfing in Caloundra by offering a place to facilitate club meetings & competitions, run training workshops and activities, hold community workshops and mentoring activities as well as uniting our surfing community.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to a clubhouse that will give back far more than what we put into it now. Become a part of making history.
All donations to the fund will be thankfully accepted and recognised in the following ways;
• Recognition Installation – a permanent creative surf artwork installation recognising all business and individual sponsors and contributors. Every contributor to be included with company or family names. The design and details are yet to be determined but it will be a permanent piece of Caloundra Surfing history and your name will be on it.
• Clubhouse Sponsors & Contributors Website Page – a page on the website that will list all sponsors and contributors that made the clubhouse a reality.
